The fundamental beliefs every Muslim holds

Six Articles of Faith

1. Belief in Allah

Belief in the Oneness of Allah (Tawheed) - that He is the only Creator, Sustainer, and worthy of worship.

"Say: He is Allah, the One" - Quran 112:1

2. Belief in Angels

Belief in angels created from light who carry out Allah's commands, including Jibreel, Mika'eel, and Israfeel.

3. Belief in Revealed Books

Belief in all divine books: The Quran (final revelation), Torah, Gospel, Psalms, and Scrolls of Abraham.

4. Belief in Prophets

Belief in all prophets of Allah, from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them all).

5. Belief in Day of Judgment

Belief in the resurrection, accountability, Heaven (Jannah), and Hell (Jahannam).

6. Belief in Divine Decree

Belief that everything happens by Allah's knowledge, will, and creation - both good and bad.

The Concept of Tawheed

Tawheed is the foundation of Islam - the absolute oneness of Allah in His:

  • Lordship (Rububiyyah): Allah alone is the Creator, King, and Controller of everything.
  • Worship (Uluhiyyah): Allah alone deserves all acts of worship.
  • Names & Attributes (Asma wa Sifat): Allah's names and attributes are unique and perfect.
